Cosmic
Services Ltd is a UK based company which has been in the business
of selling Ayurvedic products on the web since 2003.Cosmic sells products,
provided by Vedicare Ayurveda Pvt Ltd an Indian company, working in collaboration
with Vedicare,France.
About Vedicare Ayurveda:
Vedicare
is not just another company selling Ayurvedic products on the web.
We the founders of Vedicare, Claire and Vishal, completely believe
in the principles of Sustainable Development. In order to live out
these principles we thought and researched on how to contribute
to sustainable development through our business of selling Quality
Ayurvedic Products. This led us to partnering with a key NGO of
India. The result was a completely integrated project, which promotes
livelihood generation and conservation of local Eco-system in remote
villages of Uttarakhand.

| Herbs
and plants are the lifeblood of Ayurveda and our work started with
identifying a reliable source of herbs. Himalayas have been the repository
of priceless herbs since ages. The sages of ancient India used to
make Himalayas their home because there was no other place, which
could compare to its serenity & purity. We followed them. |

Our
herbs are grown by farmers as well as collected from forests in
a controlled manner. Vedicare Ayurveda uses Organic Herbs certified
by SKAL a European certifying body. Farmers are provided with training
by the NGO, which combines traditional skills with modern know-how.
Although Organic farming was a part of local tradition in Himalayas,
it was dying due to lack of commercial support. Farmers were getting
exploited by middlemen, who profited at their expense. |

There
were times when there was no certainty of their being able to sell
their produce of months’ hard work. Vedicare has ensured that
not only are the farmers able to get a fair price, they are paid
a premium for Organic produce so as to encourage Organic farming.
We are also providing buy-back guarantees in order to secure their
livelihood. |
| Processing
and production of herbs is carried out in a remote Himalayan village,
in a factory managed by the NGO. While it increases our cost of production
we are satisfied that it has provided employment to a few youth of
the village. Our technical inputs have helped in bringing the factory
up to world standards in terms of safety & hygiene. The factory’s
processes are also certified organic. |

Vedicare
herbs are naturally processed without the use of any artificial
means or ingredients. However each production batch is tested for
absence of heavy metals, bacteria & other contamination so that
you can trust Vedicare products.
Our use of Vegetarian capsules ensures that our products are suitable
for Vegetarians. We are one of the few companies to be officially
allowed the use of VCAPS logo on our products & other paraphernalia.
Last but not the least, Vedicare products are formulated by renowned
Vaidyas (Qualified Ayurvedic Practitioners) who combine their traditional
knowledge with an understanding of the needs of modern lifestyle.
